Poor service, amateur management, pricey
I am staying at GT as we speak. Skiing is great! Room service forgot us today. Called front desk - they will see what they can do!!! No promises. This after Front Desk and Housekeeping ringing busy for ages. Waitress last night at Branding Iron very friendly but not very knowlegeable about the menu. Phat Freds had minimal inventory ( I know the season is about to end ). Trap Bar waitress very sullen, not efficient at all. Went there for the advertised $1 tacos - you would have thought we were asking for free food. If the service had been better we would have stayed and spent more money on dinner and drinks, she totally ruined our mood.
We are staying at the Sioux Lodge which is older. This would have been a great vacation if not for the poor attitude of the employees.
Take some of that back - Housekeeping just came - very nice man gave us towels, coffee, etc - we told him that was all we needed. Poor man must have ran all the way. However, all our disappointments and dissatisfaction could have been avoided with better training of staff and better management involvement.
Can't speak to the nightlife, the Trap Bar has entertainment, however, we haven't gone yet.
