I went to this resort for my first Chicago area snowboard experience since moving here last May. I hope it gets better.
I am from Michigan so I know what Midwest snow hills are all about, but for this resort to charge 40 dollars on a Saturday is despicable.
OLD lifts-I wouldn't reccomend beginners on these lifts, they spit you out and immediately you drop 4-5 feet on a patch of ice. That's after you have waited ten minutes to get on the thing.
Maybe it's not typically as busy as it was when I was there, but the few people I talked to said that that day wasn't as bad as normal. Well it may have been less busy if they didn't shut down a third of the hill for some race they cancelled.
Overall it's not a terrible place to ski (not on a weekend), but on a board it's hard to move between the different runs. The park is all rails and I only noticed one kicker throughout.
I don't think I'll be going back, but hey good luck.
