Whitecap is located in the same area as the other three Michigan resorts, but is in Wisconsin. Not that this matters, but this place is easy to neglect because it is not included in all the "Ski Michigan" ads. I agree with what others have written about it not being updated. The lifts haven't been updated in some time, probably the sketchiest i've been on. But I believe they are safe. The terrain is way better than the other resorts in the area. This place has several peaks and seems much larger than the other resorts. It is also is the only place in the area to have steep, bump skiing. Snowmaking is marginal, so go in mid-season. The kitchen tends to only be open on certain days too, so I would pack a lunch.
