As far as skiing goes, Whitecap might be the best skiing in Big Snow Country. There is a lot to enjoy about this place: lots of snow(which seems to be the norm up here) and terrain that actually poses some challenges. an added bonus: you'll need to use a trail map. This series of hills, while not huge, has a layout that feels a lot bigger than it's size would suggest. Nice bump runs and actual steeps. We stayed at Indianhead and made the drive over for a day of skiing, so I can't comment directly on the lodging. The lodge and common areas could certainly use a once over. these buildings look pretty old. but the skiing is fun and laid back. just stay somewhere else.
