Great snow as usual--they do a brilliant job with snow-making and grooming. Also, the hill does a brilliant job of using the limited space and short vertical that they have. Fun, creative terrain parks for all levels, well-designed runs on the backside unlike the prosaic straightness of Sunburst's runs. If there's a criticism it's that the place is always crawling with kids. That said, it's a great hill for kids and a good learning hill. Also, it's clearly beloved by acrobatic terrain park rats.
Skied here yesterday (Wed Feb 11). It had snowed about two inches Tues night so there was a little fresh stuff. Well groomed; Icy under the few mogul runs that were not groomed (obviously can't groom them). No lines at all. Windy. Great day!
Went up on Sunday and the snow was perfect. Nicely machine groomed trails. Crowds were light and overall we had a great day. I was somewhat disappointed that the far right chairlift was not operating. Those are my favorite runs.
First time to resort was yesterday. Lift ticket was expensive but by mid day I had put more runs in than any other resort I have been to in WI. No lines for lifts, good snow conditions (considering lack of natural snowfall) and some of the longest runs in WI. Staff were very attentive. I'llbback very
Moguls in the park are dialed in, snow as of this past Friday (2-6-2015) was sublime! It was dry crystalline powder snow with little water content.
Conditions were fast and consistent throughout the resort!
First time here and was quite impressed. We go to colorado to ski but stayed close to home this year and was not disappointed. Kids loved all the terrain parks and the wife loved the greens. Needs. More greens, and much larger Bar!!
