For getting a couple hours on a local hill, this is a nice little get-away. For the most part, the younger crowd is fairly respectful, and the older crowd is able to get up the hill and get back down fairly clearly. The biggest downside is the speed of the lift, I've left with huge bruises on my calf every time. Also, the food leaves something to the imagination, and the fact of only having three choices for the downhill skier make it a short trip, but not a rewarding weekend. The smaller size of hills seems like the lift tickets would be cheaper, however, they are $30, plus renting equipment almost makes me pay the babysitter for a couple extra hours to go to Granite Peak. I'm glad it is available, however, I wish the management might reconsider lift ticket pricing for the value of the hill.
