Went again today. All western lifts closed. Probably because of the -30 windchill. Lift lines were non existent! Way too cold though. A lot of ice. Really needs a good snow storm. Vertical and steepness is way better than anything els near Chicago. Trees are hazardous due to lack of snow

The view is amazing! Although many runs are open, some still are not (of course that due to the lack of snow). They are basically all currently groomers and rollers (moguls are not there). It's a great place and is definitely worth the drive. P.S. Trees are the place for no groom!

Considering the lack of natural snow, the slopes were in decent shape for Friday night skiing. There is more ice than usual but some runs have great, powdery snow. No Tyro terrain park yet and fewer huge jumps, but fun boxes/small jump in place of biggest jump. Mission Ridge has good rollers. Western runs/lift supposedly opening this weekend. You have to ask yourself if it's worth $85.

I was impressed with the good snow conditions on the runs even without natural snowfall. We had a great time!

One more 6" natural snowfall and good to go. Still not bad (with a few icy patches) for the El Niño start of a winter on the open runs.

Snow is pretty good considering the lack of natural snowfall this winter. Hopefully the storm can really dump snow here, allowing them to open more runs, especially the runs serviced by Dasher.

The niño wasn't rearing his warm and ugly head today. Great conditions at GP. Only two ways down from the top, am at of the day: Miracle and Sugar Maple. Snow on Miracle was only average, not typical GP grooming. So Sugar Maple was the run of choice. Until Exhibition was opened around 4 pm. Amazing, powdery snow. Aspen terrain park in great shape too. A few Dr. Seuss-like been bulbous mounds of snow from snow guns also providing fun, novelty. Only high speed six open; small crowd. Should be great for Sunday.
