My first ski resort experience was at Devils head, and i had a fabulous time. The cost of my 2 night stay was very reasonable, and the food was great value. I went early in the season, and devil's head stayed open even though temps had risen above freezing, but the bad thing was there was ice everywhere on the slopes. The staff was friendly everywhere, inc the cafeteria, as well as the ski instructors. One negative is that there isn't much to do around the area that interests me - I went to the state park that's a 5 min drive away (forgot its name) that was supposed to have a waterfall, but couldn't find the waterfall. Also not much entertainment at all around the area, so u have to end up skiing everyday of your trip or u get really bored there. I would strongly recommend devils head for anyone looking to take a short trip.
