Long winding runs best in midwest ski resorts
Lots of old chairlifts
This is our favorite resort nearby to visit from where we live here in the Midwest. It has lots of long winding runs that you can really enjoy your snowboarding and skiing carvings. Every Winter, usually this resort is always our first choice to visit, and mostly when we got dumped of snows in a recent day or so. It is a pretty wide resort that it does not get too crowded. A lot of the chairlifts are very old though that need upgrades. Good thing they recently upgraded their main chairlift called Glacial Express Quad Chairlift which was made by Doppelmayr company. It has nice green runs which connects both "The Burns, Meadows, and Devils Playground" that add up to about one and a half (1 1/2) mile long and two long magic carpets for the beginners. Farther to the right side are more black diamond runs and some double blacks. The food now are pretty decent and it has number of sports bars which have music and bands. The Dante's restaurant is pretty decent. The main cafeteria is a very large area that can accommodate great number of crowds. This is where you can pick your food from large number of selections and pay by the main counter. Overall the prices are decent also. The lift tickets are not very expensive also..they range from $45 to $54 per person in this season year 2012.
