Cons: CRAZY $$$$ food, crappy rooms & LOUD rude guests

The runs are nice & long which is nice because the chairlifts are SCARY old so you're glad once you get to the top & are off them and you still have some nice mountain time before going back on them. I like the runs and the terrain park and who doesn't love them having a half pipe? The only downfall of that is that you HAVE to go through the terrain park to get to the half pipe. I still struggle in terrain parks so i felt bad getting in the really talented people's way.
Their food is RIDICULOUSLY expensive.....literally it is NUTS. The "all u can eat breakfast buffet" at "Dantes" had a wide variety but the eggs were cold & runny (I'm by no means a cook but can do eggs better than that), the oatmeal runny & tastless, & the french toast sticks were overdone (didn't know you could even do that to them!). I will give props to the potatoes, they were good but this buffet was $13.00 a PERSON - PLUS your drinks!!!!! A hamburger or chicken sand was 6 dollars a la carte. I literally bought a package of instant oatmeal, a yogurt, a turkey wrap, a vitamin water, a small coffee & a rice krispie treat and it was $15.00 in the cafeteria!!!!!
They make up for it I guess by cheap alcohol. An entire pitcher of beer ranged from $6.00 - $7.50. So you'll be happy if you're a drinker.
The room rates were low but the rooms left a lot to be desired. They didn't even have a mini fridge! The water pressure was horrible. They did keep you well stocked on kleenex, toilet paper & towels though and I had no wasps.....thank god because I would have left (allergic).
We had an incident of someone pulling a fire alarm prank at 6am on a sunday morning and the resort did nothing to even apologize for it. You think that wing of the place should AT LEAST have gotten the crazy $$$$$ breakfast buffet comped but they didn't even say sorry much less do anything like that.
So just don't expect a luxurious hotel/resort experience. PACK FOOD for lunch, and look up a local restaurant called the "The Log Cabin" in Baraboo, WI and drive there (7-8 miles away) to eat instead of spending CRAZY amounts of money on their food. If you go there to board & socialize and only be in your room to shower & sleep then you won't even notice the room issues.
