We went up to Devils head for MLK weekend in Jan 2010. Overall we had great time with two days of snowboarding.
This was the first three day weekend of the new year so it was busy when we went, but we never had to wait very long for a lift. The only one that had line all the time was the green lift. All of the blues and blacks were short waits. The runs were great, all of them were long and wide, this gave you a little variation in your runs but also allows beginners enough space to turn and stop without clogging up the whole run. So I would say that the runs were good for all skill levels. It had not snowed the week prior to our visit so most of the snow was man made, but the conditions were still really good, it did get icy at night but that is expected with the amount of people that had been there that day.
We stayed in the lodge portion of the hotel and it was nice, the rooms were'nt great but they were'nt horrible either. There was a pool, hot tubs and a suana to relax after your day, but they are packed with people from 8pm on so go earily. The food and drinks were very pricey and not worth it, so I would suggest bringing your own food and drinks
But overall I had a great experience at devils head and would gladly go again before the seasons over
