high speed chair, black slopes close to real black, friendly staff
crowded lifts, cafeteria/dinning room needs expansion.
Our family has SEASON PASS at Cascade, and we do snowboarding every weekend. First of all, the high speed chair is a real plus+ My favorite run is Manitu (BLUE). I enjoy people watching me riding. The trail used be a PARK, but this season they opened the run to freerides, (sorry for park freestylers ^_^). Cindy Pop and other black slopes are challenging when compared to black runs at Devil's Head. Staffs are real professionals and friendly.
I see more and more people coming to Cascade over the past few years. It's really crowded during day time. That's why we used to get there before opening and enjoy riding in the morning to avoid the crowdness. Both 1st and 2nd floor cafeteria are too small to accomodate the crowd of madness. The only reason I miss Devil's head is the wide space of its cafeteria.
In overall, it's the best place to ski/snowboard worth the travel from Chicago and its neighborhoods (180 miles one way).
