Number of Lifts, Good Number of Runs
Price (No Deals), Lack of nearby attractions
Overall Alpine Valley is a good experience. There are plenty runs for people of all skill levels. All the Runs are about the same in length just with varying degree of grade. The black runs are somewhat challenging and the intermediate are beginner are suited to their names. The staff is mostly good and attentive. The lifts are not too slow and therefore the lift lines move at a decent place. The Bar and chalet areas get very crowded. They do have a free corral for your skis or board which is very nice and helpful and you needn't worry about your stuff getting stolen or the pain of trying a place to but your stuff and lock it up while you go in to eat or hangout. There is plenty of parking and its easy to find. There is nothing in the way of restaurants or things to do in the general area if you are looking for somewhere to go for lunch or dinner. They trails are groomed pretty well and they always make snow whenever there is a chance. Saturdays get crowded with large groups coming by the busload. Alpine Valley is one of the Better Ski and Board areas in southern Wisconsin.
