Having been born and raised in Colorado, having skied here 25 years, having left Mary Jane for 2 years to enjoy different mountains with my daughter and her 5th and 6th grade passport, I triumphantly return to my home mountain, best bumps in the state, only to find this metal turnstile monstrosity blocking my way onto the super gauge. Mass disorganization, extreme inefficiency, and a lack of alternating were the highlights of observing this new system. Groups of 7 making it to the chair because everyone forgot how to alternate, empty chairs going up because nobody made it through the gates. Is there proof that this is a faster, better system? The turnstiles have instilled an ignorance in the new colorado skiers (of which there seem to be an insane amount) that has spread to the Panorama lift and undoubtedly elsewhere on the mountain. It shouldn't be so hard or at least it wasn't always this hard- try to make a full chair in line, look up the definition of alternating and then when you reach a merge in the lift line, remember what that word means.

the snow didn't stop dumping at Mary Jane all day from first chair to close! low visibility but Panoramic express opened after noon and there was more powder with every run today. skiing the trees were heavenly! fat flakes continued to pile up on everyone and everything today and I hope it continues up there this week.

Visibility low due to snowfall but ankle deep powered even on groomed runs. Mostly powder conditions with minimal packed powder.

Was out yesterday mostly on the Jane side. Absolutely amazing conditions with about a foot of fresh. Every run was at least knee deep powder and you could find yourself stomach deep in some of the trees and cliffs. Zephyr broke down and pano wasn't open which is pretty typical now. Love the terrain and snow here but the resort seems to close more lifts than open runs every time I go.
