+Good snow quality and decent snow fall(when thinking of the southeast) +Easy access being just a couple minutes off 77 +Good rails in the park +some of the runs are very good such as woods run, plunge, turkey chute, peckers peak(in between drop off and snowbowl its where the tree is) +The ski school is good +family friendly setting +most of the staff is chill and they don't mind if your having fun unlike some other places(*cough cough* beech, sugar) -The lines can be bad in january and february but they usually arent that bad if you know when to go out and which lifts to get on -slow lifts, the lifts are extremely slow and often stop on busy weekends due to the beginners that can't seem to get off of a lift -beginners really make some days a pain here are some tips to make your day there better If your beginner get a lesson first thing in the morning. Trust me you'll have a much better day of skiing getting a lesson first thing rather than waiting til the afternoon after a miserable morning of falling. When there is good snowcover in the region a little bit of tree skiing can be found on the skiiers right side of turkey shoot, inbetween glades and hickory, inside of woods run, and off the mid mountain lift theres some trees that you can cut through and go down a steep little bank onto milkshake There are little cliff drop things off of compromise and woods run In between drop off and snow bowl is a tree and some snow making equipment and there is usually snow and if your lucky pow, everyone calls it peckerds peak A nice place to find a little bit of powder after its been tracked up might be in the skiers left of cascade, there might be some on the right too never tried it
