timberline has the best glades and steep terrain in the mid atlantic. do not go there for park or apres ski activities. It holds snow well and though it does deal with fog its much less windy than Snowshoe. The lifts are old and slow and the lodge, well it has walls and a roof but thats about it. go for the snow and terrain and you will kot be dissapointed (and pack a lunch) if your going skiing/riding so u can show off the $1500 u just spent on gear and outerwear then go to Snowshoe, youll be much happier.
