If you really want to pay the extra to ski in/out of your rental condo then go for it, otherwise it's not worth the money. North mountain has always been decent. Bigger places for cheaper and really, it's not that far of a walk to the village if you choose to go there. It's really turning into more of a family resort with a disney world commercialized feel to it. Myself and a bunch of old college buddies have been there various weekends including Jose Quervo Tequila weekend last year and needless to say if you're there for the singles crowd, go to the rockies. If you're there to learn how to ski, you've wasted a lot of money and shoulve gone to canaan valley. We're heading to other places for now on. there are lots of runs, but if you want fun, you only stick to a few anyway since there are so many easy runs.

Dining at the village is horrible. You wait an hour to be seated and get a disneyworld like hamburger. The hostess was accepting payoffs to let people cut in line. Just frustrating because they have a monopoly and they dont really care.

DO NOT trust Snowshoe's snow reports. Basically take 12 " off their stated bases and downgrade the conditions a notch to get what's actually out there. You get more from observing the weather conditions on weather.com in the preceeding weeks than by looking at their reports.

Night skiing at silvercreek is ok if the lines werent so long. The lifts over there need to be updated as they overheat from so many people and they have to shut them down to cool every ten minutes.

THE SPLITROCK POOL. My goodness, for such a large conglomoration of resorts there are only three jacuzzis and which have always been jammed packed with people. Kids and all. Kinda gross. The oudoor pool is the only one adults would feel comfortable going into, but its small and shallow. Do not make any plans based around the pool. You will definitely be disappointed unless you have some young children who will use the indoor pool area which has always been a madhouse. This area is definitely one that Snowshoe needs to update/upgrade.
