I rode Monday and Tuesday. Monday they received 6 new inches of snow and it kept snowing all day until 3:00 pm. Monday night they started making snow on the mountain. Tuesday it was a bluebird day. Still powder to be found but in the 30s. No new snow fall for Tuesday but riding conditions were ideal.
yes there are tree runs, from tbe top of Camp 99 keep right, was there today, made 1 run. you have to hike back over to soaring eagle if you really get into trees. And conditions were awesome. Western was killer this afternoon- here's a pic
Very little ice today on the groomers. But it is lurking under the surface for sure. This picture is from yesterday afternoon in knot bumper glade for those doubting there was enough snow for tree runs. Not saying more would not have been better.
Believe it, I was there! There where parts of the mountain with no snow, and that surprised me with all of the snow they just had a couple weeks ago. I am adventurous and look for every possible terrain to ride on and dodging in and out of the trees is not a tree run. Have a good rest of the season and hope for more snow and get that fix on before summer gets here.
