White Pass is probably one of the best small ski places out there. 1500ft of vert is nothing to complain about. I went during the week, which offers cheaper lift tickets, by the way, and there were no lines. I mean literally you ski into the gate and directly get into the chair with no people in front of you! On the back side I was still able to make some fresh tracks at 1-2pm! On blue trails! The snow was good, too, even if it was tracked out. And the best part, the main lift, which is the only one you really need to ride anyway as it serves all the terrain, is a high speed detachable quad! How many small ski places have a high speed quad? None, they usually have a heartbreakly slow double or triple. Plus, you usually have to go to the big ski resorts to find good bump runs, but White Pass has some real moguls. It has a large tree area that if thinned out could provide some great tree skiing and make this the perfect smalll ski hill. If you like to challenge your self with more dense tree skiing than you can have it all, but I perfer it thinned out a little. Great variety and close distance to Yakima and Tri-Cities.
