Location! Access is great with varied terrain. Day and night operations.
Can be crowded but there's areas to avoid this.
Despite what people say, this place is a gem for Seattle skiers. Why? Because it's open 6 nights, is less than an hour from Seattle on an easy freeway and it has tons of variety if you know where to look for it. Yep, its elevation means the snow quality can suffer at times but overall, if you know how to read conditions/weather reports correctly, you'll quickly realize that this is a quick escape worth going to. Alpental is amazing! tons of challenging terrain. Silver Fir and Summit East also good for variety and especially with people wanting to avoid the weekend crowds at Central. Summit west is good for beginners. So check the weather report carefully and go see what its about. there's almost 2000 acres and a lot of night skiing so worth a visit.
