Something for everyone. Plenty of snow.
Beginners suffer on old, slow chair lift. Hwy 2 needs to be widened
This ski area is close enough to Seattle to spend a day (or night) skiing when the urge strikes or when 6" of powder dumps overnight. Because of its higher elevation, Stevens Pass doesn't receive as much precipitation in the form of rain as that other ski area off of I-90.
I know Stevens Pass is about to go through an expansion to increase the skiable acreage, but the Daisy chairlift needs to be replaced with a detachable quad as soon as possible. It is painful watching the newbies try to get on and off of a fixed grip triple.
There are plenty of challenging trails for every type of skier. And despite how full the limited parking lots may be, there is plenty of room for all on the slopes.
