the beauty at stevens on a good day is almost unsurpassed. frosted trees backlit by sunlight on cowboy mountain ridge is breathtaking. Dropping into solitude after a fresh snow is heavenly. Corona bowl powder is life at it's best. Standing at the top of double diamond looking down at the world is spellbinding. Go ahead, make comparisons to other ski areas if you must, but the Stevens experience stays in your memory. What better ride than seventh heaven chair, straight up a cliff face? What better ego boost than ripping down Showcase with afterburners on, in full view of the lodges? And don't forget to sneak down through the trees, across the Jupiter liftline, suppressing that big grin. I'll always come back to Stevens.
