Short lift lines, decent park, close to spokane
sketchy road up, slow lifts, less than stellar snow
First off, I'm a season pass holder at Silver Mt. so I may be a bit biased ;). Recently I went up with a friend to scout out mt.spokane, since it is closer to our university than the current hill we ride, and the season passes a little cheaper -both positive. It was mid march and the road up was still pretty icy, we kinda slid a little bit in places.
Once we got there, the people selling tickets were a little slow, but we got our tickets in like 10 minutes or so. There were no lift lines all day, which I enjoyed, and it was very sunny. However, the snow was the worst I have experienced all year. In a year where most areas (including mt.spokane, if not mistaken) have recieved well above-average snowfall, and the day after an 8" snow day, the snow was icier than I've ever seen.
I didn't find much variance in terrain, and though there are a lot of acres, the resort feels very small. Its not a terrible hill, but I probably wont be going back anytime soon.
