I hesitate to tell more people about Mission Ridge, for selfish reasons: One of the joys is the lack of crowds. On the other hand, I want them to be successful.
The biggest drawback to the Ridge, the lack of a high-speed lift and the interminable ride to the top, has been eliminated with the addition of the Liberator a couple of years ago. Add that to the better powder on the (relatively) dry east side of the Cascades, the easy parking, the low-key atmosphere, and you have a winner.
This is a great family resort. Loads of intermediate runs, plenty of room to ski and ride. You can get great package deals at the hotels in Wenatchee (the Coast is the nicest, and still not expensive).
