Crystal is my home mountain, so my family has spent a lot of time there. My kids have taken 2 yrs of lessons, both skiing and snowboarding and have always loved the instructors. Lessons are first come, first serve, but we have never been turned away because it was too full. The mountain has a wide variety of terrain and lots of fun trails and chutes that run through the trees. The runs at Crystal are longer that the other resorts in WA state, which makes it less of a drag to wait in line for 5-10 at the lift. At lunchtime, every seat is taken, but if you can eat a little earlier or later than most, you shouldn't have any problems. I have never encountered rude staff as some of the other reviewers mentioned, but I don't bend the rules either. Bottom line is it's definately worth the lines at the lift on weekends, and during the week it's pure heaven.
