Crystal is probably the most extreme skiing area in the US. More so now since there are now additional obstacles on every trail. Snow is getting thin and without an additional 12 to 24 inches, the season is over. The entrance to Green Valley is turning brown. Almost every run has some bare areas. Spring skiing conditions on Tuesday and Wednesday have depleted most of the 100+ inches that fell in December. (It was awesome on Tuesday and Wednesday). Backcountry skiing is either closed or difficult due to avalanche debris. Otherwise, I agree with the previous comment that people who run the area are rude including most of the senior management and most services are minimal if not non-existent. Spanish is the preferred language as most of the common workers in the area are from Peru.
