I was at Crystal over Easter break. I have travelled a few places to ride (Whistler, CO and reside close to Tahoe). Crystal was an awesome mountain. All the open terrain, steeps and chutes. The Northway lift was not crowded at all and we took runs without seeing anyone in knee deep powder. The facilities are not all that but who rides for the facilities...It's all about the POW! I've watched local mountains become big resorts and take away the laid back lifestyle. If your looking for groomers and plush accomodations...stay home. If your looking for some challenging terrain and fresh powder, Crystal is for you.- Was this helpful?
