We came to Bluewood after a big December Storm that opened the resort. Snow was good and well groomed but the rest of the experience was not great. Got their at about noon because lets face it, it is not a resort close to anything. We tried to get 1/2 day passes and 1/2 day rental. We were told that we could not even get the rentals or but the lift tickets until the time 1/2 day skiing was to begin (12:30). Because of that we did not get on the slopes for our 1/2 day of skiing until almost 1pm with my son almost missing (we were late but they waited a little bit for us) his group lesson.
My daughter who is a beginner could not find any good terrain to ski. The green was a long road that required more pushing than skiing, and sloped so that you were constantly getting pushed to the edge where it was steep trees. She could not find any blue runs to ski either because the good blue terrain either had a steep headwall to get to it or a long green push
We live close enough that we might have gone back. But we wont at least until the kids are consistantly skiing hard blues
