As long as you don't go to Bluewood with the expectation of a big mountain with lots of long runs, high speed quads, and full service amenities, you won't be dissapointed. The day I went to Bluewood, it was apparently the busiest day they ever had, only one chair lift was running and the parking lot was at maximum capacity. However, the snow was incredible, 24 inches of fresh powder made for one of the best powder days of my life.
The Good: Friendly locals, great snow, somewhat cheap, good road conditions, uncrowded slopes, awesome tree runs, family friendly, good instructors
The Bad: Only one of the two chairs was running, which made for a long lift line, chair lift stopped frequently, limited food services (bring your own lunch), most runs tracked out very quickly, black diamond runs weren't very challenging
I'm for sure going to Bluewood again during a weekday so I can explore more runs, Overall i'd say my Bluewood experience was very good, and I recommend it for anyone who just wants to ski or ride all day and doesn't care about high class resort amenities
