I live in Newport, 49 is closer than Schweitzer but I still choose to ride a better Mountain. Schweitzer is twice the size of 49. So what if the day passes are a couple bucks more than 49. If you purchase your tickets online you save 5 dollars at schweitzer, only a dollar savings at 49. More lifts = more terrain, faster lifts = more fun for your money. dont get me wrong, 49 is a good ski hill for families and those of you who are a little slower.- Was this helpful?
