Full review

This can be a great area for strong skiers who like trees and glades who understand that a mom&pop-sized area can't afford a lot of luxury. Unfortunately the managment of this area is very poor. They could do a much better job with the funds they have. One of many examples is that if you're looking for good groomed runs you've come to the wrong place. The experienced groomer operators have long since departed. That and management meddling leaves you with marginal grooming in every regard. Instead of spending the grooming money they have to do a good quality job on fewer runs they wreck many more runs for advanced skiers by making 2 or 3 passes down the middle so that they can say "xx runs groomed to perfection." With a couple of exceptions the runs that are groomed are typically a mess with a lot of flaws, especially ridges. They did a much better job in the old days when they still had a couple of experienced groomers who weren't micro managed by people who don't get it. I wish management would listen but talk to any of the staff and you'll find out quickly that isn't likely. I could go on but you get the idea. Sigh......
