This review is for January 28-30, 2007. My party of four arrived 28 jan. to find what we considered a mess. We had purchased a package deal which included four vouchers for lift-tickets, ski rental and such, or so we had been told in pre-trip phone conversations with the resort; First thing wrong. We had also been told the lift-tickets obtained with these vouchers, were good for our two night, three day stay; Second thing wrong. Once the International Employees, complete with their lack of speaka-da-english, of the ticket window (and later the whole resort) asked numerous questions to the typical "figure-behind-wall", we were informed we had to use one voucher for each session of skiing(lucky for us only two skiers in the group). Also, "they can't be used for rental equipment", "sorry", resulting in a trip back down the mountain to The Ski Barn for rental equipment; and, by-the-way, it was $5 bucks a day cheaper. Next was the tubing, the two non-skiers purchased tickets for late Sunday and also inquired about tubing times for Tuesday. Again, the International Employee had to go behind the wall and ask, the times were the same as Sunday (keep this in mind). Monday, 29 Jan., thinking the confusion was over, the two non-skiers called for a shuttle to take them to the WINTERGREEN Winery only to get what we came to expect as the all-around resort answer of "We don't do that", one would have thought the pre-trip phone calls would have revealed that, third thing wrong, second trip down the mountain. The two skiers hit the slopes around noon, only to find snowboarders SITTING on the slopes, yes just sitting there, sometimes groups big enough to block the slope,WHERE WAS THE SKI PATROL??? This was a problem Sunday and Monday, people (mainly snowboarders, but some skiers too) stopped on the slopes, many times actually laying down taking breaks, laughing, talking, and having a great time at the expense of other skiers and boarders, again, WHERE WAS SKI PATROL??? Take their lift tickets, take their picture, post it in the ticket boothes, and throw them off the mountian (no pun intended)!!!! Tuesday 30 Jan., up at 7 pack up and check out, 9:15 go to buy tickets for four to tube at 10:00, yup you know, there is no 10-12 tubing session, fourth thing wrong. This invovles a trip to the ski office were we get four comp. tickets and a promise that times would be posted correctly. One last trip the shops, before leaving and wouldn't you know it, the lady in the gift shop knows what hours the tubing park is open, maybe she should work in the ticket window!! By the way we live about 3 hours from the resort and will probably never step foot on the resort again, THANKS FOR THE COMP. TICKETS THOUGH.
