Wintergreen does the best they can with what they have. Being east of the big mountains, the snowfall is very limited. Being in the south, they are prone to big warmups.
But, the mountain is well laid out with separate beginning, intermediate, and expert areas. The high speed quad on the "expert" area mean you can make quick laps on 1000' vertical if it's not crowded. The steepest pitch is just 23 degrees which is not very scary...but most of the expert terrain is a steady 18-20 deg which is fun
