Nothing overly 'premier' about Massanutten compared to most CA or CO resorts but easily the best "all-around" skiing/riding resort on East Coast. No extra fuss or frills but that's what makes you fall in love with this resort and find yourself coming back as often as possible. Very easy to be on the lift within minutes of parking. You can spend the entire day on the slopes switching between greens, blues and blacks with a break or two at the spacious lodge. For advanced/experienced skiers/riders the blacks are low grade and runs seem to be too short but the lifts move pretty fast even during peak hours. Biggest drawback for me is the lack of nightlife at/near the resort itself but if you have a fun family or group of friends willing to drive to Harrisonburg you get to experience a quiant college town with hotels, restaurants and bars.
