'You never know until to try it'......so i've ski'd over 50 resorts from several on the west coast to almost all of them on the east. There's something about bryce that you cant get skiing anywhere else, and its their staff. The friendliest group of employees I've seen anywhere. The ski school instructors were amazingly well trained and the snowboard instructor i had with my kids was hilarious, fun, and professional. With the local grown kids coming down from college to work you get to enjoy the same feeling they share amongst themselves. After having a lesson and many minute conversations with the friendly staff you can head into the bar that night to find them all having a great time with the local dj and live bands. They even spot you coming in and make you feel like a local. The snow overall isn't top choice but they stay open longer than any other resort in virginia and when it gets 60 in the middle of january they still run the slopes unlike the other resorts who shut down. For Virginia Skiing I'd rather spend my money and weekend where i know i'll be welcomed. Everyone tucked in the little mountain are there to share what they love to do and have a good time.
