Okemo Mountain Resort +

Sat 4/15 - Okemo is my favorite mountain and they did a great job yet again this year. So thanks to everyone there for a great year, and especially the snowmakers and the groomers. Their grooming is just hands down the best, and they always have the best conditions in Southern Vermont as a result. If you are going there for their closing day on Easter, they have tons of snow left. Jackson Gore was the best with barely any obsticals and faster snow. Just watch out for over the blind ledges on some of the steeper trails as there is some dirt and rocks in places. The snow was a little sticky in the flats, but the trails themselves were not that bad.

Thu 4/13 - My last day at MS for the season. It was a pretty damn good year. I like the small resort vibe combined with the big resort snow making and very good grooming that they offer. They had essentially 5 front trails, 2 North Face, and 2 park trails. Almost every trail outside the parks had narrow parts in places, and that may make them hard to maintain through Sunday, though most of those trails were good and wide outside of the choke points. The park areas no doubt will survive the weekend. If the jumps are still there, Nitro is in good shape and the conditions are great for beginners to get some practice. Please don't hang out on the landings though. Not safe!
