We are in the sweet spot at Sugarbush, with beautiful sunny days followed by regular snowfalls. Today is more of the same, bright skies in the morning, increasing clouds later and a Winter Weather Advisory kicks this evening, with another 4-6" predicted. We've received nearly 130" of snow so far this season, averaging about a foot a week since opening in November.

The accumulation from earlier in the week has been rolled into the finest velvety carpet on 51 trails, including Ripcord and Which Way. Head to the Sugar Run Park for fun small/medium features and to the Riemergasse Park for a huge variety of medium/big features. Please note, Inverness and Brambles will be open for GMVS Race Training only.

We are 100% open, with 111 trails served by 12 lifts. Lower mountain lifts load 9AM - 4:00PM, upper mountain lifts run 9AM - 3:45PM, and Slide Brook Express runs 10AM - 3:15PM.

Mt. Ellen is 100% open and accessible, although the North Ridge lift will be closed today and possibly tomorrow. We are working hard to have it running by Sunday. Mt. Ellen passholders may ski and ride at Lincoln Peak until North Ridge reopens. Stay tuned for updates.

All Mountain weekday tickets are $84 for adults, $65 for juniors and seniors, kids 6 and under always ski and ride for free at Sugarbush. Grab a great deal at Mt. Ellen with $30 Thursday, good for all ages, and then enjoy some apres fun in the Green Mountain Lounge. To save up to 30%, you can purchase etickets before arrival. Limited quantities are available at discounted rates, buy early and save. Click here for pass office hours.

We have two fun events this weekend. Join Nolan Kasper, former Olympian and current member of the US Ski Team, as he visits his home mountain on Saturday. Sharpen those edges and turn up your smiles for NASTAR racing, poster signing, and apres Q&A with Nolan. Racing is 10AM - 12PM, poster signing and Q&A starts at 4PM in Timbers.

Slap your skins on for the Mad River Valley Mountaineering Race on Sunday. Backcountry skiers and split boarders start at the base of Mad River Glen, climb to the top, traverse the Long Trail to Mount Ellen, descend into Slide Brook, climb into the Lincoln Peak area and finish at Valley House lodge.

Check out our new Uphill Travel Policy and grab a free uphill pass at the Lincoln Peak Guest Services Desk in the Gate House Lodge. Please remember, skinning and hiking is permitted 4AM - 7AM and 5PM-10PM. Hiking and skinning during operating hours may be authorized under special circumstances.

Take your skills to the next level with the Sugarbush Ski & Ride School. January is Learn to Ski and Ride Month, beginner lessons are just $29.

Leave the driving to us, ride the free Mad Bus between the base areas and all over the Valley.

If you are looking for good glades, almost everywhere on the mountain except for marked glades is good. With the snow expected tomorrow then everywhere on the mountain should be good.
