Skied Sugarbush this afternoon they also benefited from the two inches of snow. Lower half of the mountain is really beat up from the season. you can see dirt in grass. But Heaven's Gates triple, this is the place to be. A majority of people could be found racing down Ripcord and Jester. Both load and groomed good. The lower half of the mountain is as good as it can get. Sugarbush is doing as much as they can with it but the conditions are thin.
Skied Mount Ellen in the morning, fresh 2 inches of snow. Without that it would have been an ice skating rink. FIS was a mistake to try. Closing Sunday so not much grooming, but with the powder they really didn't have to. Tough year but they did well with what they had.
Echo the last post, better than expected. We skied on Sunday all day on the main mountain lifts Valley House, Super Bravo and Heavens Gate. Plenty of great runs both blue and black. Planning to go back again Easter weekend. Excellent groomers and great staff/ski patrol at SB!
