We stayed at Sugarbush in a slope-side condo we rented over Martin Luther King Day Weekend. There was a mess-up with the booking, so to make up for it, they gave us TWO side-by-side condos. Not bad. The condos were big and well-furnished and they were truly ski-in-ski-out. Pricey, yes. But worth it.
We skied for three full days and it was near perfect. There were hardly any lines despite the holiday weekend. True, it was 1 degree, but still...the trails and lifts were empty. Lovely. The staff were all very friendly and nice. The other skiers/boarders were also very polite. My husband was the only one of us that got bowled over by an out-of-control-skier and the kid was all apologies and politeness.
The snow was great and they kept on making it--which was noisy, but not too intrusive.
The kids really loved it here. They didn't get bored at all.
We skied last year at Jay, and it was probably more fun, as the tree skiing there was better suited to the kids. But we hated the extra time on the road, and the condos had a much tougher ski-in-ski-out. Sugarbush was a great compromise, and we'd definitely go back.
