I love Stratton especially because it is the resort I can credit foropening me up to the wonderful world of skiing 10 or so years ago.
I live in NYC and would much rather drive the extra couple of hours up to VT and Stratton even for a day trip than ski the closer area resorts in PA or NJ.
The trails are always well groomed, the gondola lines--even when packed -move considerably quick, and the people have always been extremely nice.
Those who don't ski enjoy the shops and restaurants within the resort.
It's a great place and well worth the lift ticket price.
