Stratton gets mixed reviews. Some love it and some hate it. For a Southern VT mountain, it is a very good mountain. I took my family on 3/1-3/2 weekend. We got lucky with 1-2 feet of snow everywhere.

Here is the skinny. Among hardcore NE skiers/riders Stratton has a different name, Flatton. The difficulty rating on the mountain is overrated, but so are most mountains in the NE with the exception of few.
Pros: Good grooming. Underrated glades. Decent trails. Fast lifts.

Cons: Some rude employees. Many many rude people, especially people who seemed to have season tickets. I'd say the most WASPy of all NE mountains. Horrendous parking.
