Made my first trip of the season, got lucky as all Vermont and new Hampshire had gotten dumped on within the past several days prior to my trip. Got on the mountain about 9 30 at which time sunbowl had some considerable lift lines, however these diminished almost entirely as the day went on. Made my way over to skiers right of the mountain, however didn't spend much time on this side as I found the trails on the sunbowl side preferable. Spent most of the day lapping bear down and upper middlebrook to Churchill downs and lower middle brook. Sunrise express and shooting star lift had no lines all day despite it being a holiday weekend, the gondola only had a 15min line which was pretty good considering the snow and holiday. The staff was super friendly, the snow held up all day with only a few minor ice patches in the last 2 hours. As it was a busy day moguls built up but i enjoy moving through natural bumps so that was of no issue. Only downside was done flats which I encountered, as well as a lot of very young inexperienced kids on trails they shouldn't have been attempting (it was a crowded day though, so this is to be expected). Overall a good experience.
