Had cold weather this weekend, so I took a bus to Stratton from NYC. Crowds were thin and the weather was perfect. Stratton is a great mountain! Lots of fun terrain. I really enjoyed Upper Spruce -- a steep, narrow tree-lined with some great curves and sudden drops. Upper Kinderbrook was long, fun and fast (but with an unfortunately drawn out ending). Lower Downeaster was incredibly fun at high speeds. I took a look at the beginner area, too. Some fun trails there. Certainly a good mountain for all levels!
