Stowe is a great ski resort. The other reviews would make you think that this mountain is mediocre with a horrible staff, but they are far from the truth. If you go, make sure you go when the conditions are good. Otherwise, their trails aren't nearly as enjoyable. Usually the conditions are great, though. If you are a beginner, than spruce peak is perfect. If you are more experienced, than go to the front four (Goat, Lift line, star, and national, all double diamond). I would skip the Gondola trails for the most part, as they usually are overcrowded, and there are only really three trails, only one interesting (Chin Clip). Lastly, make sure not to take the toll house double lift, as it is VERY slow (12+ minutes). Stowe is an amazing resort. It has something for every skill level, from the simple lower spruce peak, to the challenging steep front four. When it has good conditions, it is an experience not to be missed.
