Full review

I was at Stowe for the holiday week, and conditions were excellent in the 2nd half, when a significant amount of snow fell. Stowe has the best snowmaking and grooming BY FAR in Northern Vermont, and best of all, there is a high-speed lift for every mountain area - so lines were minimal, even for a holiday week! We skied so much we could hardly move our legs the next day! :) If you've never taken the extra hour or so to go into Northern Vermont to get away from the metro zoo of southern VT resorts, you have no idea what you're missing. Better terrain, longer runs, WAY MORE natural snow (300+" a winter!), and WAY LESS of the crowds and city attitudes. Stowe is where it's at, Baby! And when the day is done, Stowe has a ton to do (restaurants, clubs, activities)! Yes, it can be a little pricier than some other Northern resorts, but it is WAY worth it, in our opinion. Our family only skis Stowe now. Period.
