New luxury three-bedroom/two-1/2-bath condos called The Owls have been built in the North Hill community. North Hill features an aquatics center with an indoor children's water playground, heated lap pool, hot tubs and exercise room.

    Best family resort around

    Pros: Strong family programs, variety of activities, convenient transportation, good local venues
    Cons: Isolated from airports, slow in spring/fall

    Terrible place to travel

    Pros: nothing but the actual skiing
    Cons: lodge, parking, no place for families to go

    Worth driving past Stowe

    Pros: 2nd best snow in New England, hardcore terrain, very family-oriented
    Cons: Slow lifts, not much nightlife
