Skied all mountain today. In the morning you could hit some good patches but as the day went on it became icy and bare. Sterling and Madonna 2 was terrible but the top of Madonna was pretty good. Scratchy everywhere though.

Most of the glades were closed today. Midweek warmup and refreezing has turned most resorts into a skating rink. Groomers were good early in the morning but we're icy by the end if the day. Lifts, as always slooooooooooow.

snow got soft and sticky as the day went on. bare spots on almost all trails. Snow is HEAVY in glades. Summit lift was on "wind" hold all morning.

Madonna summit lift was on wind hold until late morning on 3/9, but there was plenty of fresh deep powder on the rest of the mountain to keep everyone happy until the gusts died down. Today 3/10 is excellent--still plenty of deep powder on the double and triple blacks, with sweet soft groomed corduroy on the blues for carving those long wide super G turns. plus warm breezes and sunshine. I love this sport.

Best conditions around, and my partner Evan just loves ordering fuzzy navels from the gorgeous bar. Five stars from this happy snow bunny couple!
