The lifts are slow, but you make up for it with more solitude on the trails. Morse Mtn. is a great family and learning mountain and the upper mountains have fantastic terrain for hardcore skiers who relish bumps, chop, glades, and steeps. There are very few of the groomed "super highways" so common in Southern Vermont. If you want to get off the groomers and push your skiing to the next level, try Smuggs. (They have a terrific ski school that's not just for beginners and intermediates.)
