Conditions are what they are if you can't deal with it stay home. The mountain is doing what they can to make it ski able. What do you people expect bring in 13 to 15 bus tours and you think the skiing will be good wtf come on.
You mine as well consider the season over. This is the worst season in memory. No major storms in the 10 day forecast. And if it finally does snow, the pent up demand is going to be epic. Predicting 10,000 people show up. Ughhhhhb
Rode Friday and Saturday. Very crowded Saturday. Most trails groomed with machine made top coat. Snow making both days. Decent in the morning with most areas skied off by the afternoon becoming icy. Crew trying hard. Can't be over critical with the conditions.
Friday 2/5/16: Stratton makes a heck of a recovery from a 50 degree 2" rain Wednesday. Mother Nature did help with 1" but Stratton did the right thing by running the guns....for as bad as Thursday was, I was impressed by Friday. Nice job grounds crew!
Well, the snow was about as good as i could be yesterday, thanks to El Niño. In thë morning, we had solid snow and the super pipe was awesome. I went off a jump and broke my collar bone but it was well worth it!
