Conditions at Mt. Ellen weren't bad today. Surprisingly short lift lines and intermittent sun & snow. The main lifts closed for about an hour in the afternoon due to high winds, however.

Lincoln Peak was down to teo lifts from the base, and Mt. Ellen was down to one lift / sometimes two lifts from the base - both due to wind. Snow conditions were OK, but wind was not fun. Liftlines were 20-30 minutes at Lincoln and 10-15 minutes at Ellen. Slopes were fairly wind blown, so conditions tomorrow will only be good if they groom tonight.

The lines were miserable again today, but the wind was so bad by afternoon only gate house and valley house lifts were open. lower jester off bravo (in the morning) should have been closed, a flat traverse with about 40 feet of ice. Heaven's gate was closed all day. If it's this windy again tomorrow it will be another disappointing day. Photo is of gatehouse lift line around 1:30 (record waits of 30 minutes).
